Frequently Asked Questions | FAQ

What is the best antivirus / internet security / security product?

As with football teams, restaurants and PC games, it is really difficult to name just one. Things are constantly changing and the criteria for selection vary depending on your personal circumstances. However, if you’re a viewer who simply wants a quick recommendation on what to buy, please check out our recommended section. The products listed there have proven their worth in TPSC tests and should serve you well. What’s more, you can buy them directly by clicking on the logos with a discount while supporting our tests!

I am having <this> issue with my PC. Can you help me?

No. However, you are welcome to join our Discord server and post your concern in a relevant section and one of our community members may be interested in helping you figure it out. If it is relevant, I might chime in as well.

For issues related to malware you are welcome to use the several videos and guides on The PC Security Channel to help you with your approach or as mentioned earlier, discuss it on our Discord server.

Can you share your Malware Samples?

No. I research and analyse malware on a regular basis, work with other partners and subscribe to several feeds, which are in turn processed by our scripts. To conduct tests in a sensible way you would need a similar setup.

If you’re interested in using our services to do something similar please see cybersecurity tests for business.

If you are interested in learning how to do so yourself, stay tuned. I might make a video in the future about how I go about it, but until then you are welcome to do your own research. The world’s your oyster.

But can’t I please just have the folder from your last video?
Sorry, no. It isn’t a good idea or even legal for me to share malware with random entities.

Can I get access to malx.py?

No, you can’t. We are working on a public testing tool which you will be able to find on this website when it is released. There is no 1 script that does the testing either. It is a collection of python scripts that also depend on online components and it isn’t available for public use. If you want to work with us to conduct test for your business see cybersecurity tests for business.

But can I please have just one part of the script? Sorry No
